What Is Mediation?

Don't Litigate—Mediate
MEDIATION, a form of alternative dispute resolution which aims to assist two people or more in conflict, to reach an agreement. The parties themselves determine the conditions of any settlements reached---rather than accepting something imposed by a third party. The disputes may involve estates, organizations, communities, individuals or other representatives with a vested interest in the outcome. Mediation, in a broad sense, consists of a cognitive process of reconciling differences between the parties.
| Mediators foster communication among the parties to: • CLARIFY ISSUES, INTERESTS AND NEEDS; Mediation is an introduction to resolving issues without the use and expense of an attorney. | |
Unfortunately, in life, there are times when we have issues and problems that seem insurmountable. Our role is to assist you through these difficult times with dignity, respect, and a peaceful resolution. No attorney fees, no long drawn out conflict, no court rooms, but a civil approach to resolve issues.
As Mediators we are interested in the settlement of a conflict as soon as possible after understanding the position of each. We strive for a fair and reasonable settlement that all parties find agreeable.
Depending on how many people are involved in the dispute, many issues are resolved in about 2 to 4 hours. How does that compare to the thousands of dollars that an attorney would charge? Have you been trying to resolve an issue with your spouse, your employee or your contractor and you have not reached a settlement?
We Can Help.
